HISTORY
Originating from a desire to boost one’s self-esteem, Lois, Rose and a small band of assistants launched SexyWithin.com as an online magazine in 2006. After its first incarnation was compromised, Lois and Rose were disappointed but undeterred. Joined by Kirby, they went back to the drawing board. SexyWithin.com reemerged in its current form in the fall 2007.

PHILOSOPHY
SexyWithin.com believes in allowing the individual to speak unfiltered to the audience. We believe the best source to explain the joys and conflicts that people face in their lives are the people themselves.

METHODOLOGY
Stories are the unfiltered thoughts of the writer. There is no editorial agenda molding their expression. The stream of consciousness flows from the mind of the writer directly through words to the reader.

PERSONALITY
Personality supersedes subject. The stories define the writer's perspective on the subject as opposed to the writer defining the subject through decreasing his or her perspective. You will see the writer's personalities; you can see their biases.

IDENTITY
As individuals, we each have complex identities that we express differently to the various people in our lives. SexyWithin.com reveals the part that is often hidden, our secret identities. An aspect of the writer's personality will be defined through his or her stories. This aspect is the part of the writer that he or she wishes to develop and strengthen. The names may be fictional, but the thought and emotions are real. Who are they?

Who is this Lois lady?
She is a lady from a different era, the days of class and self-respect. You'll recognize her because she is the lady in red. That is her color because it is believed to denote power, and she wants everyone to wear his or her strength. Lois believes that the various forms of art are an extension of our souls and dowses herself in the culture. SexyWithin.com is her personal time machine. As host, she wants you to take a ride. Who is this Rose dame?
She is a thrill seeker, an adrenaline junkie, living for the moment. She does not procrastinate - there is a lot of living to be done. Recent events in her personal life have caused her to see how short and precious life really is, and we must experience as much as life has to offer while keeping in sight our priorities in life. Who is this Kirby fellow?
He is a grown man who sees the world with childish glee. His gods are pop culture artifacts, and his beliefs are vaporous. For instance, while most see a crucifix as Jesus on the cross, he sees Superman with Kryptonite chained around his neck. He can't see the difference between God and a guy in his underwear. If he must be catalogued by the Census Bureau or an Internet meme, write in "nerd" as his faith. He does not see his refusal to give up childish things as a refusal to grow up.
